Racor HFB-2R Double Horizontal Folding Bike Rack with Shelf Racor HFB-2R Double Horizontal Folding Bike Rack with Shelf

Reviews

Finally got my four bikes up off the garage floor. Racks work great and are very sturdy. Installed them one side into the wall stud and used the molly bolts for the drywall. Perfect solution to bikes leaning against the wall and not staying put. Glad to have them!

Great product for all bikes. Perfect for one but will hold 2. Rack allows fast drying of helmet and gloves. Could not figure out the hangers and how they fit on the rack but overall nice product.

Easy to install, holds 2 bikes. I have a hybrid (heavy) and a road bike (not heavy). Seems to support both OK. I like it. Minimal space requirements, too.

I am very pleased with the product. It appears to be well constructed. I currently have my 24lb. bike on it and it seems like it will hold a second bike with no problem. The shelf is very practical with enough space for my gloves and helmet. There's not much more to say about. It's a pretty simple and straightforward piece. I would definitely consider purchasing another Racor product.

Modern Sports Helmets: Their History, Science and Art (Schiffer Books) Modern Sports Helmets: Their History, Science and Art (Schiffer Books)

Reviews

This book by one of the gurus of helmetry is a great combination of Big Beautiful Pictures, interesting historical narrative and even real science of how helmets work and why. Since it came out two years ago, I have personally recommended this to many people who expressed an interest in knowing more about helmets, usually for professional reasons. I will continue to recommend it because it is far more than a nice coffee table book. The Big Beautiful Pictures alone are worth the cost of the book, Dr. Newman has helmets in the book that you won't find anywhere but private collections. The technical chapters such as 4. The Biomechanics of Head Trauma and 5. Standards Development give an excellent overview and even full scientific references in the Endnotes chapter. In summary, I strongly recommend this book for anyone with a personal or professional interest in helmets: why we need them, how they work, why they are the way they are. David Thom ACT Lab LLC

This book is unfortunately a very strange hybrid between an "eye-candy" coffee-table hit parade and a serious book that actually engages you with its text and captions. The author has tried to convey some of the hard choices that helmet designers have to make while designing headgear to pass the stringent standards test, but unfortunately his tone and some of the captions he uses do not always make sense or engage the reader in a meaningful way. Perhaps the biggest criticism that can be made to the book is that the text portions describing the standards in head protection are very much disconnected from the significant image bank collected by the authors in their compilation for the book. The book is a strange hybrid in the sense that its scientific content is neither deep enough for the dedicated scientist or engineer to find it useful, nor is it accessible enough for the layman to understand without a fairly comprehensive scientific or engineering education. Having said that, if you are interested in helmets, or are looking for a book to inspire you in designing a new one without having to engage in heavy Google-Image searching a perfect helmet to be inspired from, then maybe this is the book for you. If you are a scientist or an engineer, however, perhaps you would be better off starting out at the regulatory agencies' sites and going through their material instead of relying on this workpiece to complete your research.

Franklin Tv #03: Franklin's Bicycle Helmet Franklin Tv #03: Franklin's Bicycle Helmet

Reviews

Our six year old daughter loved this book. Teaches you to be yourself--no matter what others think.

Franklin buys a new helmet that he just loves, but his friends make fun of that type of helmet. He feels embarrassed and hides it so that they will not know that he bought it. Later Rabbit shows and they make fun of her card in her bicycle wheels. He feels embarrassed. Finally Franklin overcomes his need to be cool and please his peers and wears the helmet. This book is great because it shows that kids they can be themselves and don't have to succumb to the "you have to do this or wear this or say this or be this in order to be cool or acceptable" pressure.

This simple story touched on all aspects bicycle safety, enjoying what you think is "cool" instead of giving in to peer pressure, and much more. My 4 year old even remarked about Franklin's borrowed helmet not fitting correctly(something I am always mentioning to a neighbor's child). This is a good one to have in your collection, especially if you child has even the slightest reluctance about wearing a helmet!

Franklin can hardly wait to show off his cool new bicycle helmet at the Bike Safety Rally. But before the rally, he overhears Fox and Beaver making fun of his helmet. Now he's ashamed! Some words of encouragement from Rabbit help him put things in perspective - he likes the helmet, and he's going to wear it!

Planet of the apes on wheels! One of the strangest and most entertaining bicycle safety videos ever made, One Got Fat is a bizarre concoction of 1960's goofball children's antics. The film poses many startling questions: for instance, why is it necessary for all the kids in this movie to wear monkey masks and tails while they go out on reckless bike rides? Bordering on surrealism, the masked youths meet various terrible fates as they get hit by trucks and fall down holes - though there's no violence at all and the mood is humorous and cartoon-like throughout...

Giro Me2 Infant Bike Helmet Giro Me2 Infant Bike Helmet

Reviews

Even though my little on meets the minimum head size it still seems a little baggy. maybe head shape has something to do with it. I love it any way. It's a great quality helmet. i look forward to using it for years to come.

Nothing bad at all to say about this helmet. If you are on the fence...get this. It's got the nice knob feature that you can use to snug it down around your little one's head. Once our little guy got used to having a helmet on his head he was fine...doesn't mind it at all! Would offer great protection too! Let's hope he doesn't need it!!

Fantastic Helmet! Thanks to Giro for making a helmet that actually fits my infant!! The adjustment is fantastic, it really allows for good fit on the littles one, which is so important. It's a little too cold now, but I've been getting my 1 year old used to the helmet, so that once the weather warms up, she and Mommy can hit the road! The quality is fantastic, exatly what I expect from Giro. I have a Giro adult helmet and the quality of the infant helmet is just as good. Plus, the graphics on the helmet are adorable, colorful, and bright - a thumbs up for safetly, quality, and fun! We will get many happy biking miles out of this helmet!

I ordered this helmet after reading other reviews and attempting to buy a helmet to fit a 14 month old. All of the helmets I tried were too large, more geared for 2 year olds, or larger toddlers. This helmet is a good fit for smaller heads, and the parents loved the bright design. Definitely a good product.

I tried a few helmets before getting the Giro...ALL the bike shops suggested this one but I was stubborn and wanted to find out for myself, of course. It really is the best...the back nob to twist the helmet to the correct size is soooo easy and there is no pinching at all. I got this for my 1 year old and it could easily be used for a 6 month old also. It's super light weight and it has a flat back which is great for not pushing them forward while in the bike seat. The best price was on Amazon for sure and I ordered a few other things as well so I got the free shipping.....7-10 days NOT TRUE....3 DAYS....I got it in 3 days!! Amazing! Only order from Amazon....it's the best!

Schwinn Roadster 12-Inch Trike (Multiple Colors) Schwinn Roadster 12-Inch Trike (Multiple Colors)

We've had this for just over 24 hours, and my almost 2.5 year old girl loves it. My husband's comment was 'wow that is a serious trike!' Pros- normal bike tires (good suspension and traction, plus easy to patch/repair/replace), metal frame (long lasting), adjustable seat position (box claims 26" to 38"), actual seat instead of a saddle (harder to to fall off of for younger kids), retro style, cool bell Cons- heavy/big (needs more room to store, more effort to lift), not tip proof (My daughter tipped it once going down our driveway, once turning on our street. That said it took a a fair amount to tip and she was fine once she learns how to safely turn it will be fine, doubt that any trike is truely tip-proof) Over all I am very happy with this trike. My daughter loves it. Watch out as it is easy to pedal backwards and if you are walking behind them you could get hit by the backdeck in the ankles. Also be advised that you will need an adjustable wrench, phillips head screwdriver and a bike pump w/ pressure gauge to assemble. Instruction were a little confusing especially with my daughter wanting to help, but took less than 10 minutes. Don't forget to buy a helmet!

With only a few parts, this trike was easy as could be to asemble. Our grandson loves it, although he is so small we needed to get some pedal blocks.

My twin granddaughters loved their new trikes. Loved the bell naturally and thought they were pretty cool!! Would buy again. Made extremely good. Should hold up for years to come.

We bought this for our daughter's second birthday, and WOW it is a big hit. I especially like the seat design along with how low the bike it. I was initially going to get her a traditional tricycle but was worried she'd tip it over. This bike solves that problem. As far as the minimum age, my daugher's feet just barely hit the pedals and she's a very tall 2 year old (35 inches). Her friend, who is a bit shorter, cannot yet reach the pedals.

You are so close to purchasing the Perfect tricyle. Do not bother to search any further than this well designed and manufactured, piece of equipment! Having wanted to find a tricyle that incorporated the "Good Old Days" look/feel, with todays ride quality, I found it in this Schwinn!! Upon opening and assembling the bike, my expectations were met and slightly exceeded. The assembly was super easy and fast! The Red Chassis is beautifully shaped and the Vibrant paint looks and feels fantastic. The wood step and "chrome" fenders flow nicely with the wide rear stance of the bike giving it a fantastic, well balanced ride. With an adjustable seat that sits at a low center of gravity helps keep the bike sturdy while this new rider is pushing it with his feet. The handlebars look and function equally well. It's wide sling back design, provides an easy reach, also the steering requires light input and is very smooth. And all of this goodness is riding on 3 nicely treaded rubber tires that actually have air in them. Basically, it does not get any better or easier! A wonderful product, delivered to your door in short order and free, all at half the cost of the bike itself!! If all my purchases went this well, I'm not sure what I would do with the extra time and money! P.S. I did remove the bell. The sound was awful and I did not like the look.

Featuring unique retro styling and a heavy-duty steel construction, the Schwinn Roadster is a great choice for your youngster's first trike. It has a low center of gravity thanks to a wider profile back, which offers added stability to prevent tipping...

Razor V-17 Youth Multi-Sport Helmet (Black Gloss) Razor V-17 Youth Multi-Sport Helmet (Black Gloss)

I really like this helmet. Our five year old has a big head and this fits him perfectly. Not only that, but he can put it on all by himself. And, he puts it on correctly. Really, what more could you want in a helmet?

Helmet did not fit my 10 year old as product description indicated. It was too big even with the adjustment pads included. The helmet itself looks like good quality but would not buy something online that needs to be fitted again as this helmet will sit in the closet until my daughter can wear it.

This product was a great compliment to our purchase of the Razor Electric Scooter for our 8 year old. Shipping real fast and secure.

Parents, this helmet is worth every penny. My son escaped critical, if not fatal injury thanks to this helmet. Long story short, my 10 year old was moving along at about 15 mph on his electric scooter when a younger child ran in front of him. While avoiding the child, he lost control of his scooter, hit a curb, flipped over the handle bars and smashed his head on the trailer hitch of a parked truck. The point of impact was on the lower back of his head where many helmets do not cover. Thanks to the design of this helmet, it absorbed the brunt of the impact. While he did suffer a serious concussion, it could have ended tragically had it not been for the extra protection this helmet provided. I'd not hesitate to recommend this helmet to other parents. Having said that, whichever helmet you decide to purchase, make sure it protects the entire head!

Sept 2, 2009 You saved my son's Life On August 31st my 10-year-old son, named Quincy, was racing down a hill on his bicycle. As he came to bottom of the hill there was a stop sign but he was riding to fast to yield to the oncoming vehicle. Within seconds, he and a small truck collided. As he hit the tuck, putting a 6 inch dent in the front fender, he was then thrown into the windshield and fell to the ground unconscious. Overall, the accident caused a mild concussion, a lot of bruises and abrasions and a broken right arm. Thankfully an abdominal CT showed no internal injuries. After going to the ER by ambulance we were discharged and returned home. Before leaving the hospital parking lot, I thought I would take a moment and look at his helmet. Oddly, there was a wrinkle across the back of his helmet. I showed it to the ER doctor and he stated that without the safety the helmet my son would have had some level of head trauma. Wow, what a miracle! I quickly recalled, that only about 6 weeks earlier, I purchased two Razor V-17 helmets--one for him and another for his older brother. At the time I was only going to buy one for his older brother but I remember having a distinct impression to buy one for him also. I am so grateful I did. When I consider how most people rely on a high power for direction their life, I too believe that a higher power, who I call the Holy Spirit, had impressed upon my mind to purchase this extra helmet. I have been raised a member of the Mormon Church or who is known as (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints) and taught that the Lord knows all things and understands our lives and what transpires daily. Little did I know that the Lord knew events that would transpire in my son's life in the few days that would follow. I will be eternally grateful for the Saviors' understanding and knowledge of our life on this earth. He really wants us to be happy and never wants us to suffer and feel pain and sorrow. In just a few seconds or with a slightly different decision on my part it could have changed the course of the life of my son and our family. I would like to thank Razor for the safety that their helmet gave my son. My small boy's life could have been changed forever. I am so grateful for the people that have engineered the helmet he wore that day. Thank you, Thank you, with all my heart. Sincerely, Kay C Whittaker, Quincy's Father. I would appreciate if Amazon would forward this to the Company of Razor. If you would like to copy this letter to share it with others I would like the letter to stay intact and not edited except for grammer. Thank you...KCW,,,,

Reviews

these mitts fit as advertised and they provide excellent cushioning. they're lightweight and look great. my final review will be in how they hold up over time. so far, i have zero complaints.

I have gone through 3 pairs of cycling gloves recently. These gloves are excellent, they are durable and provide excellent comfort for long rides. I would recommend this buy.

I have used these gloves now for about two weeks, and I really like these gloves. That said, these gloves don't seem like they will stand up to my daily commute for long. I hope that I am wrong; The gloves are very comfortable, they fit well on my hands, (I have XL hands), I love the pad on the thumb to wipe away sweat, and the padding on the palm is in all the right places. I just don't have much confidence that these gloves will last all that long with my daily commute. Other gloves I have used have split along seams after wearing them for a while, and I think these gloves are next in line.
